Description

Argentina suits Adrien Van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda Team) very well. The French rider won Stage 2 between Córdoba and San Juan (423km of special stage, 301km of liaison) and is now the new leader of the overall bikes classification of Desafío Ruta 40 YPF INFINIA.

The day was marked by several penalties for speeding up that changed the results of the stage. The French rider received 20», but he won the stage anyway. Quintanilla got 7» and Branch 2». After the first two stages, the domination is still 100% Honda with Tosha Schareina and Ricky Brabec occupying the top three of the overall standings. Sebastien Bühler (Hero MotoSports Team Rally) is in fourth position.

In Cars, Lucas Moraes and Armand Monleon (Toyota Gazoo Racing) took the best time with 4:08.14, 57 seconds ahead of Yazeed Al Rajhi and Timo Gottschalk (Overdrive Racing), who anyway lead the overall 3:19 ahead of Nasser Al Attiyah and Edouard Boulanger (Nasser Racing by Prodrive) -third in Tuesday’s stage-.

The fourth place among the Ultimate cars now belongs to Sebastian Halpern and Ronnie Graue (X-raid MINI JCW Team), who inherited the place after the rollover suffered by Juan Cruz Yacopini -co-driven by Daniel Oliveras- (Overdrive Racing). The young Argentinean driver lost 20 minutes but was then able to continue in the race although they are now in eighth position overall.

In the Challenger class, Rokas Baciukas and Sebastien Delaunay (Can-Am Factory Team) won again and moved ahead on the overall lead, while in the SSV class Enrico Gaspari and Ricky Rickler (TH – Trucks Team) won the stage and took the overall lead.
